Introduction.

Lincoln University is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information that is shared with us. Lincoln does not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.

At any time, you have the right to request that your personal information cease to be used for alumni programs & services or for fundraising purposes. Records are normally updated within 7 business days

I.     Information Confidentially and Usages

1. All confidential information must be used for university business purposes only, as approved by University Advancement leadership.
2. Unless specifically authorized to do so by the Vice President for University Advancement, information from University Advancement data sources must not be used in separate persistent databases, "shadow databases", and/or reporting platforms, as they undermine the primacy and integrity of Advancement's central information resources. Information generated from Advancement's database of record should be used quickly or refreshed periodically to ensure validity.

II.    Access to University Advancement Data by Employees

1.  Individuals employed by Lincoln University who have a demonstrable university-related business requirement to access Advancement data may be granted access restricted to that requirement.

   Throughout our Web pages, we provide links to other servers which may contain information of interest to Lincoln University readers. We take no responsibility for, and exercise no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers.    We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or lincoln.edu if you are connecting from Lincoln University's domain), the date and time you access this site, and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked to this site.

   We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of this site, and to help make this site more useful to visitors.

5. Online Profile Updates and Donations

   If you complete the Profile update form and share your personally identifying information, this information will be used only to provide you with more targeted content. We may use your contact information to send further information about Lincoln University or to contact you when necessary. You may always opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the "Opt Out" section below.

6. Sending Lincoln University an Email

   You also may decide to send Lincoln University personally identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a Web form that provides the Lincoln University this information. 7. Children and Privacy

   For children who visit this site, special rules apply. We do not request personal information about children, such as first and last name or street address and city. When kids send email to us, their online contact information (email address) is not used to re-contact them and is not maintained in retrievable form.

8. Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information

   This site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from Lincoln University's Division of Institutional Advancement through a special online form. You may choose to receive only specific communications or none at all. You may also update your contact information previously provided through another online form. You cannot remove yourself from the Lincoln University database, but you can prevent unwanted communication.
